NVIDIA has announced its new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics card family at CES 2023. However, these new cards are not intended for enthusiasts who already have a high-end GPU like those in the RTX 40 family. Instead, they are designed for users with older solutions like the RTX 30, 20 series or even older AMD graphics cards. The actual next generation from NVIDIA will be the RTX 50 family, but it is unlikely to be available until 2024. The GeForce RTX 40 SUPER GPUs feature the Ada Lovelace microarchitecture and TSMC's 4nm fabrication process. The RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER have specifications similar to their non-SUPER counterparts but with increased performance. NVIDIA claims that the RTX 4080 SUPER is 40% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti with DLSS 3, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is 60% faster than the RTX 3070 Ti with DLSS 3, and the RTX 4070 SUPER is slightly faster than the RTX 3090 with DLSS 3, but consumes much less power. The official prices for these GPUs at launch will be 669€, 889€, and 1119€, respectively. During the CES event, NVIDIA also announced that more games will soon support DLSS 3, including Tekken 8, Diablo IV, and Horizon Forbidden West.
