I sometimes feel guilty for what I consider gluttonous spending. Like when I buy a synth or another software license for music software. It feels so self-indulgent, and on one level, it is.
But really, I'm not that bad. The only Moog I own is a Minitaur, and I don't own a Prophet or a classic Roland or...I got sidetracked.
Compared to the battle stations and studios and collections I've seen people post, I'm like a microbrewery compared to Miller. I'm...a microglutton.
Most people probably know MAME for Arcade machine emulation. But I've been seeing quite a few videos lately on YouTube of people using MAME for emulating digital synthesizers and samplers. This doesn't mean they can just be plopped into a DAW like a VST b

Seem to have developed a real knack for posing taboo thoughts on GearSlutz (a major music production forum).
find this troublesome.... largely in that haven't stepped outside the bounds of topics related to music, music culture, or music production.
Somehow it's like there exist a rapidly growing culture, that along with other things I don't understand, is developing such notions as musical "thought crime".
As Iggy Pop might say....
