OpenClaw를 PC에 설치하고 GCE로 옮기는 과정에서 이식에 한 번 실패했지만, GCE에서 반나절만에 복구되었다고 보고. 에이전트를 운영할 때는 클라우드가 최적이며, 클라우드에 claude code를 설치해 환경을 구성하면 작업이 원활하다는 실무 경험 공유임.

OpenClawをPCに入れて、GCEに入れて、移行に一度失敗し、GCEだから半日で復旧した結果。エージェントを動かすのは、クラウド一択だと思ったよ。何がいいって、クラウドだとclaude codeを入れて環境作ればサクサク作業してくれるからね。

We unfortunately have to change @Cockpit 's CI platform every few years. So today I re-evaluated AWS EC2 and Google Cloud Engine for Cockpit's CI needs, and was pleasantly surprised that the latter works fine now! It was still a disaster in 2022.

There's nothing quite like spite as a motivator. I've now got code that creates a web-based version of #GCE from the source ODT files, taking into account the books' idiosyncrasies.

There, you odd people that complain about PDFs but don't chip in to help, there's your online rulebooks.

I assure you, print works so much better for this game system - but not one giant book.

Now to add the code to version control and write some documentation. Oh and add a subdomain for the rulebooks...

[Gorkamorka] GCE 2.0 Released

It’s taken over seven years but GCE is now up to parity with GW’s #Gorkamorka books (including the Digganob expansion pack)

It’s effectively an open source reimplementation of the 1997 Games Workshop game Gorkamorka. In reality it’s more of a ruleset that can be used to play Gorkamorka but can also be used for other settings and long term the plan is to make it compatible with even more rulesets (such as Shadow War: Armageddon).

I've been cranking out #GCE releases for #Gorkamorka this month, in addition to doing eight hundred other things, working full time, and looking after a baby.

The goal is to have these rulebooks to a really healthy state so I can ignore them for a few years. Time will tell...
