Google、Android デバイス向けに展開を開始した新機能を紹介する「Android Drop」の 2026 年 6 月版を公開。「偽電話検出」、「かこって検索」複数オブジェクト認識、「Google フォト」の「ワードローブ」、子ども向け「緊急情報サービス」機能、「Quick Share」「AirDrop」相互共有、「Google Play ブックス」の「インサイト（Insights）」機能、「絵文字キッチン」バリエーション拡充の、合計 7 個の新機能が発表。新世代 Android OS「Android 17」メジャーアップデートの近日登場も予告。

#Gboard is definitely getting less reliable. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the move to GenAI coding.

I've configured Gboard to use all the languages I regularly write in. Every so often, glide-type will randomly shift from English into French or, occasionally, German, even though English is still the highlighted choice on the language chooser.

Sometimes I can't send a toot or a Signal message without manually dismissing the keyboard: the Send button just does nothing.

Sometimes I can't delete the first few letters of a search term until I've typed another letter.

These bugs are all very visible. I wonder what's going on in the depths of #Android that I can't see.
