These are the best keyboard switches I’ve tried. Seriously. Click, very gentle. Tactile. I feel amazing typing on it. Gateron Melodic.

_Question_: what do you think about the Bokeh Ambients Silent switches?

I am thinking of buying the Piantor Pro BT from https://www.keebart.com/products/piantor-wireless

_Background_:
1. I had an IBM Model M #keeb for 20+ years
2. I moved to a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL with #Cherry MX Blues
3. I also had a GMMK 1 #MechanicalKeyboard with #Gateron Blues
4. Then I moved to an ErgoDash with #Kailh Whites Box (current daily driver).

Test fitting some #gateron blue #mx switches

Remember my switch problem? I managed to find a store with some options to try. The one I liked best were ROG Snow. So it seems I like linear switches.

But what would be the comparable Gateron switch? My online search came up empty. It seems switch comparisons aren’t that common?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Treating myself to an X-Bows keyboard (Canadian-made! ergonomic! orthogonal! woot!) but they ask me to pick which type of switches I want on it.

Uhhhh… wut?

I mean, I read the descriptions, but how does that help me make a choice? I can listen to sound tests on YT but that’s not what’s most important—feel is. How does one figure out how everything feels and what one actually prefers?

*insert “I guess I’ll die” meme*

Wo kauft man denn am besten aus DE heraus einzelne Gateron Low Profile Switches (braun) als Ersatz, wenn man Amazon u.ä. vermeiden möchte?

Changed the #Gateron for #Kailh White and Navy I had left over. Typing for longer times on the tactile switches just makes me feel icky. I need some clicks to give me feedback.

Oh, bugger! I may have oopsied a new #keyboard

For the inclined, it's a #Keychron K2 Pro v2 with red linear #Gateron G Pro switches

Bought some #Gateron Aliaz Silent Tactile Switches to switch out the brown Cherry switches in my #Epomaker #Skyloong #GK68 I use for work. Now I'm thinking of also changing the #Kailh Blue Navies in my #DygmaDefy... I do like the clicky Kailh, but tactile may be a new interest. Maybe I'll order some more switches to test. Any tips for tactile (that you can really feel and 100gf or heavier) switches?
Update on my #gateron #smoothie switches. I love them, I have really been digging the linear feel and the creamy sound is pretty soothing on the ears. I added some foam backing to kind of amp it up. But the keyboard sound does come through my mic during pairing sessions a bit.
