I have been struggling with my home built gas kiln over the last 6 months or so and trying to figure out how to fix it. However my last 2 firings have been succesfull in that I achived reduction to cone 10 on ash glazed firing, and cone 11 in yesterdays firing. Images are from yesterdays Shino firing. Reduction firing was last Thursday!! Opening of the kiln tomorrow morning.... Can't wait!

Opening of the gas kiln this morning!
A bit under fired mostly at the top but nice reduction overall and most glazes reacted well even not reaching the cone 9-10 all over.
Some nice test results and some not so good...

Multiple students work in it.

I'll share some of my results in another post once I'm done going through all of it and take pictures.
