Some plants carry more than just beauty — they carry memories. 🌸

This rose (*Rosa* sp.) has been blooming in my garden for over 23 years now, but its story goes back even further. It once grew in my grandparents' garden, and when we moved it here all those years ago, I honestly wasn't sure it would survive the transition. But it did — and it still does, year after year, filling the garden with these soft pink blooms.

A small beetle has also claimed it as its own, which feels fitting for a plant with such a long history.

Deze roos (*Rosa* sp.) bloeit al meer dan 23 jaar in mijn tuin, maar zijn verhaal gaat nog verder terug. Hij stond ooit in de tuin van mijn grootouders, en toen we hem hier naartoe brachten wist ik eerlijk gezegd niet of hij de verhuis zou overleven. Maar hij deed het — en nog steeds, jaar na jaar, met die zachte roze bloemen.

Een klein kevertje heeft hem ook voor zichzelf opgeëist, wat passend voelt voor een plant met zo'n lang verhaal.
