The carnivorous plants I received from my friend — because they weren’t thriving on his terrace — are now fully recovering. They’ve already grown plenty of fresh new traps, showing just how resilient these little predators can be. 🪰🪷

🌻 This sunflower has such a dramatic flair — with its deep burgundy petals edged in fiery orange, it looks like it's been painted in flames. One of the darker varieties I’m growing this year, and I’m loving the contrast with the green foliage around it. Nature never ceases to surprise me.

🌻 Deze zonnebloem heeft zo'n dramatische uitstraling — met haar diep bordeauxrode blaadjes met vurige oranje randen lijkt het alsof ze in vlammen is geschilderd. Eén van de donkerdere soorten die ik dit jaar kweek, en ik ben fan van het contrast met het frisse groen eromheen. De natuur blijft me verbazen.

The first Caltha palustris (Dotterbloem in dutch) blooms have arrived! 🌿✨ These bright yellow marsh marigolds are lighting up my pond, welcoming spring in full force. I love how they thrive in the wet edges, bringing a pop of color to the water’s edge.
