This week I showed mercy to my cold and dying tomato plants and pulled them up. I picked about 6kg of unripe tomatoes from the vines.

The nicest tomatoes I have ripening on the kitchen table and the iffy looking ones I turned into a Green Tomato Chutney.

I let fortune guide my hand with the spice proportions and I'm very pleased to announce that the chutney came out very tasty. I put it into small jars so I can share it with other people and not have to eat it all myself.

A fine end to a good tomato season

Today the DH and I fitted the compost bins with rodent proof mesh and I distributed the compost on the raised garden beds. I planted snow peas too.

The DH fixed my fairy lights to support structures.

Picked some figs today. These ones ripped when I was picking them. They were alright just some not totally ripe. #GardeningAustralia
Did some more weeding in the garden. The mulch is keeping back the worst of the weeds. Just a little maintenance. #GardeningAustralia
Mowed grass after having cleared up some wattle branches neighbour chucked over fence (my wattle, and I told them to, it'd been leaning badly over their side). Grass was long, green waste bin is full and still need to deal with more branches. #GardeningAustralia
