Had a much-needed social evening with awesome #GameAudio folks last night for the Austin Game Audio meetup at Pinthouse Brewing. Was ironically the same location as the Lone Star VO meetup on Tues, but I'm definitely not complaining - delicious brews, tasty food, and lots of open air social gathering space! Many thanks to Emily E. Meo for being the gracious host/organizer of our little shindig!

I mentioned working on this #SoundDesign last week, so here's a snap and some details of what I ended up with.

For surface material, I chose asphalt as it's the most tonally complex. The object tree represents a single car tire, that is instanced for all wheels at runtime. Design is controlled via 5 realtime params (RTPC) coming from car physics simulation, listed abt bottom middle in snap.

As someone with decent work history doing electronics fault diagnostics & component level board repairs, I often draw parallels with that mindset to #GameAudioDesign
