I bumped into these two magnificent goats last weekend near Loch Trool, in #GallowayForestPark last weekend.

Quite appropriately my first sighting of them was one of them standing at one end of the bridge over the Buchan Burn waterfalls.

I moved very slowly, trying to look as least like a Troll as possible (difficult I know) and reached for my camera.

Unfortunately my phone camera isn't great, so this is the poor result.

We drove through (around) #GallowayForestPark , the largest forest park in Britain.

It’s 100% wild, very remote. On a single track road, we went for about 20 miles and only saw one other car β€” a nice Scottish woman who stopped to warn about some flooding on a bridge ❀️

It’s a unesco biosphere and a designated dark sky park.

The moon was a little too bright and the clouds rolled in before it set but I saw an epic shooting star. I couldn’t find the Lemmon comet.
