Not least of all because I missed his old Instagram Reels weekly show, "Current Mood". Anybody else remember John Mayer's "Current Mood" show? It ran for about a year and some months in around 2021 and whereabouts. "Current Mood" was fun for a while, imo. Seriously.
But I think from what little snippets I've been able to see here & there on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, I think "How's Life" captured a lot of the spirit of "Current Mood". For example that latest episode where he had a 3-hour talk with Billy Joel, just a few weeks before Mr Joel got his brain disorder diagnosis in July 2025. And I think because Sirius XM doesn't have that free-for-all effectively unmoderated & optimized for outrage-engagement comments section like in YouTube & Instagram, John's Sirius XM show has become healthier & more socially anti-brainrot.
