#Nabìr is the solo project of Rome-based audio + visual artist Lorenzo Berretti. Nabìr employs live coding on #TidalCycles and #SuperCollider with handmade cassette #tape #loops to create imaginative soundscapes and nostalgic atmospheres. Both the music and the visuals are conceived as a warm and welcoming hug, a flood of memories that passes through the lenses of digital and computer manipulation.

I create sounds from found and self recorded audio and from live microphone signal. I try to create dreamy airy sounds, but i can never really predict what will come out. I made my own tool to loop the sounds with numbers in SuperCollider, inspired by Tidal Cycles. The dreamy sounds are served on a platter with some beats for better digestion 🙂
