LauraPupper snugs are helping me cope. She just crawled up here, laid her head down, & fell asleep on me 🥰 Chai is in a muzzle, harness, and leash (dragging) in the house for now, at the advice of a professional. Basically, she needs a slow introduction, and we've learned that's normal when bringing a shelter dog into a home with existing pets. Well, meet "Ruffy". That was his name at #FurKids where she and my niece got him, it's now "Major Thomas T. Cat". His military service is still classified. 😄😎. He's a very affectionate boy, still settling in to his new forever home. #cats #CatsOfMastodon
@FiddleSix Thanks. He's the most gregarious cat we've ever had. Loves being around people, When both my mother and I have to go out at the same time he's usually waiting by the door - making it hard for us to get in. 😜
When we went to #FurKids to pick out a new cat he was the first one we saw. As soon as we opened the cage he stood up on his hind legs and licked Mom's face. She didn't even look at the other cats. 😀
Our boy Goose, who we adopted in May, has tested positive for heartworms. There is no treatment for heartworms in cats and they are often fatal. All we can do is care for him as best we can and we are resolved to do so. #CatsOfMastodon #FurKids
