Imagining #Furgononic Office chairs and other #furniture where the back is supported by the armrests entirely, leaving plenty of clearance for #furries' tails. Not only is it elegant #furgonomics, but it has this futuristic #scifi #design to it. Also with a couch you may be able to give some extra lumbar support this way, if the back is just some rounded bar that you can kind of lean on.

Thinking on the #Furgonomics in a near-future #scifi setting where #furries are slowly using #BodyModification technology to give themselves animal traits. Tails would be an early and popular one, but people would quickly run into issues...

At what point do we see the first car to advertise tail-friendly seating? What does that look like? Just having the bottom of the back be open between the hinge-point?

Could be interesting to design...

if (mammalian) anthros wore face masks, how do they deal with their whiskers getting all scrunched up against their face/muzzle while wearing one

maybe they just try to ignore it? that sounds unlikely to me considering how specifically sensitive whiskers are as a sensory organ

I had this realization while streaming recently regarding furgonomics when dealing with femme members of species that don't have boobs in a society that's majority mammal..and don't want to be constantly misgendered: you can still use a bra! ....every springtime, at least. Washing your paws would be pretty annoying with the fur getting wet, so effective paw dryers would probably be an essential piece of equipment, not a luxury.
