Embracing the drama. Giving yourself space to make mistakes. Balancing the individual and the collective.
Leos, the only solar ruled sign of the zodiac, are often seen as being overly flamboyant and prideful. There’s a societal disdain when it comes to pride. You can be beautiful, but you can’t ever be aware of your beauty. You can be the life of the party, but only as performance in the presence of others. There’s an underlying assumption within our social fabric that people should, at the very least, pretend to be humble. These two things (the need for a perfected self and the desire for humility) are directly at odds with one another. The tension that emerges from these counter social ideals results in the emergence of false authenticity. Celebrities, influencers, and even the people you pass by on the street, have all most likely curated an online identity. It is an identity that feigns genuineness while promoting a specific look or brand. It attracts followers. It attracts potential consumers. Perhaps by now, you’ve grown tired of fake authenticity and wish to embrace the more genuine kind. This genuine authenticity can only be found in the real world, not the idyllically crafted online sphere.
This full moon in Leo I want you to ask yourself:
What if I were to show up as the real me in my community?
What if I allowed my friends and family to see more of my messy side?
Let yourself be vulnerable. Let yourself be expressive. Let yourself be ‘too much.’ Encourage other people to expand their light. Never let yourself be shamed into dimming yours.
