as a religionist, i believe religion has no reason to exist if all it does is act as a gate, a means of exclusion. i have the same critique of religion that Christ had: the problem is the laws of man, passed off as the laws of God. at best religion is a delivery system for revolutionary acts of love. it really is the only thing that matters.

we're in the greatest spiritual crisis of our human species. it's literally love one another or become extinct, and their are no half-measures.

i do not know how anyone reacts to flags of any nation whatsoever with anything but disgust and contempt.

Tomorrow is Rosh Hashanah, and I am currently working on my menu and doing what prep I can tonight.

I generally don't do much with my religion, but the antisemitism lately has been so damn rampant, I've decided I'm just going to Jew harder.

Anyway, my current plans for food are pot roast, onion noodle kugel, apple and honey challah, and homemade apple cider.

Any good ideas what I can add to this? We have a decent pantry and I don't want to go shopping-- so just hit me with what you've got and I'll find something that works.
