Fuck #youtube! I was having a nice New Year's celebration with my family and we pulled up a video so we could watch a countdown. As usual, there were some ads before the video started to play. No big deal. Then, there we are, less than a minute to midnight, another ad! Unskippable! I get that they need to show ads to fund the cost of all these videos, but fucking hell ads in the middle of videos? I never see this on my computer thanks to adblock. Next time I will use a computer.

So... youtube is silently starting to shove their auto-generated mixes into every other youtube video i search up. There is no sign whatsoever that i am clicking into a mix, and sure enough when i do its an auto-generated playlist, y'know, the kinds that just plays trough without autoplay on?

This is very clearly intentional and predatory, to keep users watching when they just wanted to watch one video

You can see in the screenshot below a video highlighted with my cursor leading to a link with one of their mixes, despite the video looking like just a video

This fucking sucks, i noticed it happening because i have an extension to block the auto-generated lists and i saw it block these normal youtube videos, i turn it off, and discover this shit. can tech companies not try for five fucking minutes to milk every second of our conscious time?
