Luckily enough for all concerned who aren’t investors or gentrifiers, Premier Ford has dismissed out of hand any discussion of an inquiry into Metrolinx's abysmal project management and the vast cost and schedule overruns, as well as any discussion of compensation to the local shop owners who have remained open against all odds, saying "I'm the first to come out and acknowledge the mistakes, but I'm not going to waste time on inquiry and all the nonsense, tie all these people up."

Truly a win for modern urban transit in the largest city in Canada, and hopefully an important lesson to us all as we move forward

It sucks beyond measure that #Ontario is stuck with this unethical, kleptocratic, corrupt, ignorant, dogmatic, dangerous administration until 2029.

Setting aside the billions of dollars that will continue to be wasted and/or funnelled into PCPO donor hands, the destruction of our heritage, our cultural institutions, our environment, our health, and the health of our children - the future! - is an incalculable loss.
