Those with soy or wheat allergies, gluten sensitivities or celiac disease could experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction should they eat this ice cream. Affected are those packages with a best by 11/26/25. About 324 cartons of this mistakenly labeled ice cream were distributed through a single UNFI distribution center to retail stores in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. If you purchased any Friendly Vanilla Bean Ice Cream cartons that have a Cookies & Cream lid, return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. DO NOT buy Friendly’s ice cream at the grocery store. There is NO safety seal at all.
I had no way of knowing that there was no safety seal inside until I got home and opened it. And my dumbass didn’t take the receipt so I couldn’t return it.

Based on this email it seems the ice cream I bought had been tampered with because there was ice cream on the lid when I opened it. This is absolutely disgusting, have they learned nothing from the Walmart ice cream licker years ago?

Plus it’s made in Texas, so of course it’s unsanitary like the Blue Bell ice cream that comes out of Texas. Lesson learned, never again.

I just watched a video on the rise and fall of Friendly's restaurants (and ice cream). Now I want to go try to find one to eat there one last time (and the first time in a long time) before they go belly up for good.
