10am all of a sudden, and on. Garbage trucks in the streets, construction site under load, neighbours cleaning their appartment and this late morning is running short on everything but sounds disrupting attention and focus. (Inbound phone calls, just adding to that. Security incidents, response times, and another band aid fixing parts that shouldn't move.)

10pm and on. Fireworks and parking cars. A late bus, empty, and drivers handing over their shift. A crowd of youngsters passing the door of the pub, laughing, disappearing in between the houses. Police on patrol racing outbound. Late enough to give up on clear thoughts. Everything's arcane beyond this point.

9am in between. As always. Switching on the desk lights again, for today even the golden light of the last remaining autumn leaves doesn't suffice to counter the grey. (Seems the neighbours finally made it to a wake state, judging from the noise raging behind the walls. And there's a radio screaming in there too. Flooded by input.)
