Last Monday, at a social science conference, I learned about Anna L. Tsing’s book *Friction: An Ethnography of Global Connection* (2005). I’m really ashamed that I didn’t know about this work until now, and that I used the notion of frictions so freely without any reference to this scholarly history

when making a connection, a link between a b n z kind of thing,
the #rigor might not need to be concerned with a b n z but in the ability of the #frictions to #evolve.

the friction between a b n z, for example, seems multi layered (letters, cultural -
the use of n in slang english -
hence of at least 2 different frequencies)
which might come together and form a verb as in:
let's abnzise for a while?
