I went shopping at Aldi for the first time after a failed attempt a few years ago (no quarter or bags).
It was more bare and open than I expected, with fewer selections than most grocery stores, and even many places that sell groceries on the side, like Target, but the prices were good, some of them fantastic ($2.99 for a pint of strawberries), and I was shocked at the apparent high quality of their fresh salmon.

Friends always laugh when I share my first-date criteria. Basically, if you can tolerate/enjoy what I do in my spare time, you might be a keeper.
So, ten years ago, I dragged my future husband on a grocery store expedition date. Yep, we grocery shopped on a Sunday. Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix, Fresh Market, and Lucky's Market (I really miss Lucky's here) were all on the agenda. I even topped it off with a meal at my favorite restaurant, Papa's BBQ on Whitemarsh Island.
He took to it like a duck to water. He enjoyed spending boring-time with me so much that he moved in. He has been here ever since.
Moral of the story is that is if you are always yourself, you will attract someone who likes you for what you are.
