Interesting tidbit about the Libertarian Party framing Ulbricht as a victim of the same system as Trump to help secure a pardon:
"At the meeting, Ms. McArdle told Mr. Trump that Mr. Ulbricht was the victim of prosecutorial overreach and a biased criminal justice system, echoing complaints that the former president had made since leaving office.
“It’s the same court stuff in New York that has been giving you a hard time,” she said she told him."

Crypto scammers may try to draw Ross Ulbricht in to their schemes to advertise their scams, then rug pull and try to pin it on Ross. They would love to use his notoriety to attract victims. I wonder if he is careful and wise to this sentiment.
If I were in Ross's shoes, I wouldn't touch the crypto-currency scene with a ten-foot pole and I would have no contact with the personalities in that scene. There are a lot of criminals and frauds there, lots of ongoing prosecutions, and anyone involved could be used as a patsy or stool pigeon without a moment of warning.
