Alex Stokes Contompasis came to the defence of anti-fascists being assaulted by multiple members of the Proud Boys in Albany, New York in 2021, only to be charged in the melee. In the fall of 2022, he received a twenty-year prison sentence.

He's held under suspicion of money laundering, per prosecutor's statements. Today they said the investigation is nearly complete. Defense received a document with findings & charges, so his lawyer can now work on the defense in detail. #FreeAlex
Via the family: Starting next Wed, 26th, he can await trial at home if electronic monitoring is ready. He'll be able to work on his defense, something impossible while detained. Trial starts May 24th, they'll decide if he can continue from home. #FreeAlex
