I've been trying to find some sort of free speech server that ISN'T a Nazi or ultra-right-wing instance or server.

So far no luck. If I had access to Usenet I'd consider that, but I don't. There's nothing anonymous out there. Would Signal work? I know it's not Mastodon compatible, but Mastodon seems to be a lost cause as far as free speech goes.

I already •know• that we're all slaves of the oligarchs. I just want to be able to talk about it without being silenced!

Today in Labor History June 14, 2017: A fire at Grenfell Tower in London killed 72 people and destroyed 151 flats. The fire spread quickly and did so much damage due to a shoddy refurbishment job by Rydon Construction in 2016 in order to save money. The residents were overwhelming working-class people of color. They had been complaining for years about safety violations. To this date, no one has gone on trial or faced punishment for the fire. Some Members of Parliament tried to demonize residents and blame them for their own deaths. Yet they have no problem sending people to prison for 24 years for inconveniencing, or embarrassing, those supporting genocide in Gaza.

It doesn't have to be a Mastodon instance, although if it is, it needs to be outside of the United States. I just want to be able to speak without having the proxy hand of the oligarchs clapped over my mouth!

Today in Labor History June 14, 1877: The First American Flag Day was declared by US government (on this 100th anniversary of the flag’s creation). Howard Zinn said, "There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people." Writer Sinclair Lewis has been misattributed as saying “When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” He did write “It Can’t Happen Here” (1935) a dystopian novel portraying the U.S. under a fascist dictatorship. It describes the rise of Berzelius "Buzz" Windrip, a demagogue who is elected President of the U.S. in much the same way Trump was elected: by promising economic and social reforms and promoting a return to patriotism and "traditional" values.
