Very proud of our latest #paper out today in @sciencemagazine where we show that platelets capture cell-free DNA from their surrounding!

This was a project initiated and driven by Bethan Psaila here in Oxford. My team performed #genomics analyses to show that platelet-derived #cfDNA resembles plasma cfDNA in terms of #fragmentomics, #epigenetics and mutation patterns.

Multimodal analysis of methylomics and fragmentomics in plasma cell-free DNA for multi-cancer early detection and localization

Obligatory introductory post to find my people! I am an early stage #physicianscientist & #franciscollinsscholar in the #POB at the #NCI #NIH. My research uses #bioinformatics to integrate multi-#omics (#genomics #epigenetics #fragmentomics and #proteomics) primarily in #cfDNA #liquidbiopsy. Goal is to identify and validate #biomarkers in #rarediseases and #cancerpredispositions (focus on #NF1) with translation to the clinic and preclinical platforms (#pdx). Proponent of #openscience.
