'Mittelalterlich' #FotoVorschlag 'Medieval'
I took the opportunity to visit my parents, who live in #Weinheim, a picturesque medieval town. After a walk through the old city center (with lots of timber-framed houses) I ended up at an obviously very popular postcard view, which I couldn't resist. You can see Castle Wachenburg (with the red roof), that looks old, but was built in the early 20th century. The ruins of Castle Windeck (which is old - built around 1100) and the "Blauer Hut" - part of the medieval fortifications (1250-1300). It used to have a blue roof, thus the name.
