This is a nice watch (in French).. it focuses a bit on the b&w and color versions. You can see François aka Tati on his bicyle in the town we're all a bit familiar with... (one hopes)

For #ThrowBackThursday here's a photo from my wife's side of the family simply labelled "Sam and colleagues". I don't know who Sam is but I love the photo and the bus is interesting. Browns Blue was a Leicestershire-based bus company that operated from 1924 to 1963. The apostrophe in the bus company logo here dates this to before 1954.

Ann Gillis, Hollywood Child Star.
The pleasure of searching for you in my own town was all mine. Great movies you made.
Ann Gillis was born Alma Mabel Conner on February 12, 1927, Little Rock, Arkansas.
A child star in the thirties & forties, she also appeared in The Saint and 2001: a space odyssey.

Had a comment left on my site where I have some scans of photos taken by my grandad when he was stationed out in Singapore during and after World War II. I hadn't realised until the comment pointed it out that he was clearly there when Indian Nationalist leader Nehru came to visit and inspect the troops, making this 1946.

For #ThrowbackThursday here's my wife's grandad on the left with three of his army mates during World War II in what looks like a clear-up operation after a bombing raid in the city. They seem happy enough, though.
