Rund eine Million Tier- und Pflanzenarten könnten aussterben, wenn der Schutz der Biodiversität nicht gelingt. Im Dezember 2022 hat die UN-Konferenz zur biologischen Vielfalt deshalb beschlossen, dass bis um Jahr 2030 weltweit 30 Prozent der Erdoberfläche unter Schutz gestellt werden sollen. Doch der Plan ist problematisch.
