I always strive to either be on time or early for any appointment, date, whatever. Today I did both at once. I showed up at my doctor's appointment at 10:15 on the dot as I was supposed to. I was, however, four days early.

My matrix (tuwunel) server started acting weird, it just wouldn't federate....

After much debugging I ended up checking /etc/docker/daemon.json file where years ago I set up dns0 - this was replaced by dns4eu and the old ips were decommissioned...

Man oh man, life has been crazy recently. Found out grandma has worse dementia (re: Alzheimer's) then I thought and her care was being wholly mismanaged. I took some actions to protect her interests and started guardianship and within 6 days emergency was granted. Realistically I signed the motion on Friday at 3 pm and by 4:30 pm the same day I had letters in hand.

Since starting on the 13th on November it's been a whirlwind of doctors, life changes, and all around modifications to her life sans moving her from her existing home yet.

The things I've had to learn in the meantime going from zero knowledge to being versed enough to have real conversations and make considerations for a geriatric patient with dementia and stage 3 CKD. I won't say it's been easy at all, not cheap and will likely be out money... She needed help and money will always come back around.

Keep a eye on the peeps in your family, have them get their end of life stuff in order. Don't wait it's expensive enough to die let alone having to work the system to make decisions when they cant.
