Sometimes I find things on my hikes or at the foot of the climbing rocks. Mostly they are made out of plastic. Often it's obvious what they are. But sometimes I really have no glue. Maybe you know it?

This thing is clear I think: It is a seahorse shaped foam rubber thing. Is it from swimwear? In germany when you learn to swim you can earn the so called "Seepferdchen" (seahorse) and you can patch it to your swinwear. It shows that you can swim a short distance and dive in shoulderdeep water.

Sometimes I find things on my hikes or at the foot of the climbing rocks. Mostly they are made out of plastic. This one is made of aluminium. Often it's obvious what they are. But sometimes I really have no clue.

The older folks here should know what it is: It disappeared in the 1990ies. I found it in the scree next to a mountain lodge on the way to the Schesaplana in the Rätikon in the Alps.
