Please remember, any conspiracy theory can be reality-checked quite easily by the following principle:

Any conspiracy large enough includes enough people to pass a critical mass that makes very likely the emergence of leaks and whistleblowers. If the hypothetical conspiracy is critically big but has no leaks, it becomes unlikely that there is a conspiracy in the first place.

So, let's see and wait if anything leaks about that alleged assassination attempt.

I have serious doubts and I think it was possibly staged, but I stick to the principle above.

So, Trump has been digressing at length about the most deadly snakes in the world, in a recent press conference.

If he regurgitates lots of knowledge about a subject, that's probably because he has just been briefed on that exact subject by his cabinet for an unrelated purpose.

So, has he just been warned about possible poisoning attempts?

I don't think so. Instead, he may have been briefed about plans or potential methods to poison somebody, maybe by the CIA. The Pope? Zelensky? Or even political opponents?
