The 2024 Senate Hellscape

It’s illustrative of how #forbidding the map is for Democrats that Republican Sen. Rick #Scott of #Florida represents the party’s second-best #pickup #opportunity of the 2024 #Senate cycle.

Scott is an incumbent, he’s wealthy, he’s well-known from his two terms as governor, and he’ll be running two years after Republicans trounced the Democrats in Florida’s 2022 midterm elections. In addition, one of two Floridians will likely be heading the GOP presidential ticket, either former President Donald Trump or Gov. Ron DeSantis.
