It was briefly not raining this morning, and we were able to get to the #NoeValley farmers market. There were strawberries! They taste even better than they look. There is nothing like fresh local produce.
I hope this weather doesn't cut the season too short.
My kiddo, is on break, and brought home some special chocolates. We tried the orange and clove bar today....wow! Super yum!
They also make hot-chocolates, which I hope to try eventually.

For Christmas this year, I gave my grown up niece and nephews my recipe for Lentil Soup, which is a modified version from one of Madhur Jaffrey's cookbooks. I put more veggies in.
I didn't just send a recipe. I sent the spice blend (Panch Foran), lentils, and some amazing olive oils for drizzling over the finished soup. One crushed with lemons, and one infused with hot peppers.
Lentils are high in both protein but also fiber. They're super tasty, and super good for you.
