I remember as a kid, getting injured &/or really sick every time I went to a movie theater..... as in passing out cold & vomiting over Imax showing something on butterfly migration....multiple rounds of facial/throat swelling before we realized I'm allergic to MSG, like my now late mother, and yes bumps, bruises & twisted ankles from trips & falls before I'd even get to the concessions area... The excuse & explanation set I was given was that as cheap as movie theaters were, the real price was enduring those awful conditions & that whenever I saw prices rise sizably I should expect that they'd fix those many problems.....
Now it's been 20 years since their prices shot upwards & if anything the theaters are less accessible for #disabled like me than ever. Movies available at those theaters are worse in storytelling than ever. Movies that never get to those theaters (real indies) are better than ever, with home theater systems cheaper & better than ever..... and somehow the death of Movie theaters, is now all being blamed on the horrible streaming platform that is #Netflix ???
