🧑💻 There were a few updates on #FontDrop recently, many small adjustments but also two big ones:
1️⃣ – Performance
You can now drop your 15MB CJK #fonts on FontDrop! without freezing the browser. There is now a "Load more" functionality for the rendering of the glyphs. Only this first 1.000 glyphs get rendered on initial loading.
It is just a small thing in #fontdrop — for variable fonts FontDrop will now also show the specific axis values for a predifined instance (this was not shown before).
...
There is a new subpage on #fontdrop -- Advance Width Report:
It sorts the glyphs of a given font by width.
There are predefined character groups, such as uppercase and lowercase letters. There's a text input for adding additional characters and a tolerance slider for adding additional tolerance to the width groups.

I've developed a #webtool for a quick looking into #fonts: http://fontdrop.info #fontdrop
#design and #typography is not only about #reading and #writing it is also about connecting to #society #politics and #technology 😀
