My taste in cars might seem confusing at first until you know that most of the cars were either Matchbox cars I owned as a kid or because of one of my guy friends that let me play as his girlfriend when I was like 9 and used to infodump about Porsche and had a toy 911.

My wifish: Why do you even like that car?
Me: Because it looks like the one I had that rolled the best.

My wifish: Why that paint job?
Me: Because I attacked a car with nail polish so it would look like this.

My poor German wifish: WHY PORSCHE?!
Me: Because some guy was nice to me, infodumped endlessly about porsches while I was allowed to cuddle up next to him in our make believe stories where I was a girl!

Torque, speed, efficiency, turbo or not, price, history, these things interest me not nearly as much as this car was capable of handling the G-Forces of my ridiculous plastic race course, jump and then put a dent in the wall.

Anyway, I am reminded of my friend Peter changing his name to Phoenix, bleaching his hair blonde, and super-gluing an artificial pearl to an earlobe.

A bit larger that the young lass with a string of pearls glued to her face and trotting up the runway, for sure. But it brought back a memory, so thanks, young lass.

So many things can be found on the internet but there are a few things from the days of my youth that still elude me. For instance the tv ad for Paco Rabanne Cologne for men from the late 1970s, the made for tv film Bound For Freedom about indentured servants in colonial America and the filmstrips promoting library use featuring the bookworms Li and Berry.
