I think these are cherry flowers. They are from a beautiful tree in my old back yard in Oslo. When I took the photo I had a chat with one of my old neighbours. He was around 90 at the time and told me stories from when he was a young schoolkid at the local elementary school. Suddenly they got the rest of the day off. And no homework.

It was may 8th, 1945.
