The hibiscus pistil has five red, "hairy" spots at its tip, which make up the stigma, where pollen is collected. The photo was taken in Hualien, Taiwan, a tropical region that sits on the Tropic of Cancer. I took the image with my Canon EOS 6D Mark II and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens.
