Floating #solar #photovoltaic fields can power cities while conserving water.

If #solarpanels cover around 30% of the surface of #water reservoirs globally, researchers estimated the panels could reduce #evaporation by about 106 cubic km of water each year - i.e the annual water consumption of around 300 million people
