Bad apple on flip dot, you might have to squint very hard. And I think I've mirrored it. Also converted from pi with Linux to pi with circle.

Got a nice #magnetostatic 112x16 pixel yellow-on-black #monochrome "#eInk" #monitor ;-).
Now need to find a way to drive it.
All #electronics (except frontlight inverter) ripped out.
It is a destination #display from a #Tatra #T4D-MT #tram from #Dresden.
I have nice ideas for the low level side, but the high level outside interface I find not easy to do (https://chaos.social/@dreieck/115510528206319192).
The few wrong pixels are from first experiments: Manually driving the coils.

I have got a LAWO #flipdot #display (4 modules of 16x28 pixels, in total a 16x112 pixel screen, from a Tatra T4D tram). Good mechanical condition but stripped off all #electronics. So the driving circuitry would need to be built anyway.
I am clueless about the #interface it should have to the outside world -- in order to be able to drive it with arbitrary text (e.g. #LCD4Linux) and graphics with pre-existing software. Anyone any tips or existing projects interfacing to outside world?
