Today is a weird day in #ProCycling. Today is the annual ramp test at the end of spring season. They could do this on the turbo but because of 'reasons' we do it in one of the ugliest regions of Belgium. It's a 200km preamble to a 3-4 min explosion of pain and lactic acid. Who has the best anaerobic watts per kilo? Who can buffer lactate the longest. Who can push past the limit and keep going for a minute more? This is just 1 effort, but it's too long to be a sprint and you have to sprint anyway. It's like the kilo sprint on the velodrome or the 400m in track & field. It's a completely ridiculous race but I love it tremendously.
