𝘈 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘭ä𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 for #WaterfallWednesday – yep, that's the name of this #artInstallation. 😜

This artwork on the #Kunstwanderweg ("Art Walk") around Wiesenburg highlights the water shortage in the #Fläming region and the vastness of the sky. Since the pumps can't be operated at such heights, the waterfall exists only in the observer's imagination. (That's what the sign said!)

#ThickTrunkTuesday on the #Kunstwanderweg ("Art Walk") around #Wiesenburg.

This installation by Silke de Bolle is titled (𝘒)𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘳(𝘦𝘯) – 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘯 ((𝘒)𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘳(𝘦𝘯) – 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬). It's a play on words with the Dutch terms "uier" (udder) and "kuieren" (going for a walk). Yes, well, I'm udderly confused too. 🐄

Close-ups of the #wolf sculptures I posted yesterday. 🐺

This trio is part of the #Kunstwanderweg, or Art Walk, through the #Fläming forests around #Wiesenburg. We've seen lots of great #sculptures and installations, some whimsical, some a bit artsy-fartsy, some genuinely thought-provoking.
I'm not happy with how the photos turned out, because they don't quite do the #wolves justice in my opinion, but I thought the sculptures themselves were really awesome.

(One wolf is shown from two different angles, which is why there are four images.)

Another one for #MonochromeMarch: #Wiesenburg Castle in all its #RenaissanceRevival glory.

This #castle (shown here from the rear, overlooking the gardens) has roots in the Middle Ages, though its current design dates back to the 19th century. From 1947 to 1992, it served as a (boarding) school. Afterward, the castle was restored and now houses modern private apartments, offices, and studios – none of which are open to the public.
