Flags must be plausibly for #WorldCup2026.

Domestic or personal flags only, typically on cars or on homes, or being carried or worn.

Embassies, consulates and places that generally fly flags don’t count.

Nor do flags flown by businesses, nor being flown as part of a display of all of the flags.

If multiple players spot the same physical flag, whoever photographs it first that day can count it, not the others.

For the next six weeks or so, @notcontrary ‬⁩& I are playing #flagwatch again, this time for #WorldCup2026.

The game runs from local midnight where you are on the day the first game starts, to the end of the day of the final whistle of the last game. In most places that’s midnight Thursday 11th June to just before midnight on Monday 20th July.
