So many things that became tropes, I remember seeing for the first time here. I think the stripped down story and heavy action focus emphasizes each of these iconic elements that have been so repeated many have gone through parody and back then into parody a second time. #FirstBlood #FridayThrillerClub
I forgot how large this cast was and with so many familiar faces. And then the jokes after this about body count. Can't have all these set pieces without deputy fodder. #FirstBlood #FridayThrillerClub
What I appreciate about #FirstBlood is that pretty much from the jump, it is non-stop action. Minimal character development or story, just enough plot to get to the set pieces. We see what Rambo can do plenty by the time Trautman fills us in and even then the exposition, if memory serves, is more to make that penny drop all the harder, of how profoundly the sheriff and his deputies screwed up. #FridayThrillerClub
I got the sequence of movies a little mixed up. For a moment expected this to be the second movie in release order. I am glad this is the first, the one that started them all. This I actually have seen start to finish, though not recently, do remember enjoying when I first saw it. #FirstBlood #FridayThrillerClub

@memerman

Great shot!

If I squint I can almost see John J. Rambo on one of the branches.
