Something that #firebomb throwing assholes may have forgotten is that civilians suffer on every side of every conflict, and none of them asked for the bullshit that their leaders, elected or otherwise, are putting them through.

When you attack people who ask for mercy for civilians, you haven't chosen a side in a geopolitical conflict. You have transcended your humanity, and you have become violence. You no longer deserve to be among humans.
