Another shot from last night's trip along the Clyde in the gloaming. I love the mix of shapes, colours and silhouettes in this photo.

Glasgows old and new: The 53 metre tall Finnieston crane, built in the late 1920s, reflected in the translucent outer cushions of the nearby Hydro Arena, constructed almost a century later in the 2010s

The 53 metre tall Finnieston Crane on the north bank of the Clyde against this evening's sunset. Constructed in 1928, it was designed to lift Glasgow-built steam locomotives into the holds of ships so they could be transported all over the world.

This weigh station appears on an OS map from the 1890s, indicating, it is potentially older than the nearby Finnieston Crane, although it may not be the same mechanism as was originally installed.

The remains of a cast iron weigh station on Finnieston Quay in Glasgow. The long granite panels leading up to it are part of a stone tramway which made it easier for horse-drawn carts to be pulled over the smaller setts used to pave the area, and indicate the weigh station was primarily for carts rather than other vehicles.

For today's Sunday afternoon dog walk, we went looking for Godzillas along the Clyde Walkway in Glasgow. Sundays are the only day they can come into the city, at least according to this sign from A Sign of Humour!

Love this new sign on the Clyde Walkway, but it definitely falls into the Keep Glasgow Weird category. It's one of a number of signs inspired by Science Fiction movies around the citys Science Centre #glasgow #keepglasgowweird #streetart #glasgowstreetart #signs #godzilla #finniestoncrane #ovohydro

Good morning, Glasgow. I love this view across the Clyde as it has so many iconic Glasgow buildings in it, from the Finnieston Crane, to the Hydro, the towers of the Park District and even Glasgow University just sneaking in on the left hand side.
