#Lubitel shot early in the morning at the Union Square station. These are remaining columns and terracotta reliefs from the original IRT Union Square station of 120 years ago.

Originally thought to be lost and discarded during MTA renovations of 1998, they were recovered and restored by artist Mary Miss and architect Lee Harris in current form.

The city creates its own myths and folklore - it's been around long enough to have its own hall of memories.

I do wonder how many artists today would be willing to take the time and footwork necessary to preserve something of this place like the duo did for 14th street. It's easy to pull our mind into thinking everything's always been like this, and everything will remain where they are.

Done wading through the endless Spring rain in the night. Time to dry up and take a breather.

Shot in the city early morning, 6AM. Giving the #Lubitel a fair shake, I'm loving the experience so far. Who knew a TLR could be a great throw-in-the-bag sort of shooter?

#NYC tonight feels like colder summer nights in LA - wild.

Tomorrow will be Spring rain judging from the humidity and cloud curtains coming in through the west.

Things will be verdant and bustling soon, but the thought makes me feel a bit lost and directionless somehow.

#Lubitel with #filmphotographyproject werewolf 100. The film always has a bit of physical grit left to it after caffenol development. This shot of the beautifully foggy day in the city feels almost matte on the negative.

I could go for a fine rendition of un bel di right about now.

I've been dragging an old #lubitel2 everywhere for the last week or two. Could a light weight TLR be a daily snapshot camera?

Surprisingly, image fidelity from my usual shooting scenarios (dark early mornings, nights, underground) isn't drastically better than a 110 shot from a decent camera (like the aspherical one from Ektramax). It's just different.

The TLR is surprisingly usable at 1/10th or even a full second when handheld. I think the form factor and shooting style comes into play here as well.

This is one of my earlier shots with #filmphotographyproject werewolf 100, morning before sunrise. Fumbling around in my bag resulted in accidental double exposure.

This is the first ever roll, shot with a Yashica Electro 35 GS, made in 1972. I used a slightly expired Kodak UltraMax 400.

When my best friend gifted me his fathers viewfinder, I was really happy to hold such a beautiful (to my eyes at least) camera. But, I didn't know what I had until I started watching various YouTube videos on the model. Gave it to a specialized technician and now, I am a very happy owner.

I just got a Debonair from Film Photography Project. Yes it's lofi just like Holga. I'm still learning to get the exposure right without the histogram of my digital camera so I screwed up and wasted most of my first two rolls of film. But I got some usable shots. #nyc #debonair #filmphotographyproject #FFP #filmphotography #lofi #believeinfilm #lomography #streetphotography #blackandwhite #monochrome #120film
