West Side Love Story by Priscilla Oliveras has been on my tbr for over a year now, and I am hoping to read it this year. The synopsis make this seem like a Hispanic version of Romeo and Juliet, and it immediately intrigued me.

The Austen Affair by Madeline Bell is a recent addition to my tbr, but the synopsis sounds so intriguing and I can’t wait to see how it goes.

Six Summers to Fall will be the second book that I read from C.W. Farnsworth, and I am hoping it is as good as Left Field Love.

I started the We Were Liars series by E. Lockhart last year, and loved the books I’ve read so far. We Fell Apart is the latest novel for this series. Although it seems like this book focuses on new characters, I can not wait to read it.

I always find it interesting when celebrities write books, and that is what led me to want to read Gone Before Goodbye by Harlan Coben and Reese Witherspoon.

Freida McFadden’s Never Lie is the book that got me back into reading as an adult, so I hope to read few more of her books this year, including her newest release The Intruder. This book’s description gave me the chills just reading that the story takes place in an isolated cabin.

I am currently reading and listening to All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace. In the beginning it took me a bit of time to get into it. But I’m currently on chapter 9 and was able to immerse myself into the book, and can not wait to see what happens next.

Although this book has not shown much romance, the chemistry between Amora and Bastian is subtle but there. I find Ferrick as a comical relief during chapter 9, and hope his character develops more. I also hope to see what Ferrick and Amora’s relationship is like since it seems to be a little strained right now.

The Poppy War series by R.F. Kuang is one of the series I want to read this year. I have read Kuang’s Yellowface and Katabasis, and enjoyed both books. I’ve hear good things about this series and want to read her debut books.

The Shepherd King duology by Rachel Gillig was on my 2025 tbr and I was not able to read, so I am hoping I can read this year. I am hoping that this romantasy lives up to it’s hype.

I first heard about The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black on TT, and it was promoted as enemies to lovers. However, some reviews have said that romance is not the main focus of the book, and I feel more intrigued to read it now.

My favorite 5-star book of 2025 is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

I read this book in February and found myself thinking of it throughout 2025. The sisterly relationship between Vianne and Isabelle was such a rollercoaster that was only intensified by the WWII events. The individual struggle each sister had to face was so heartbreaking, and their endurance was so inspiring.

Overall, this book was an amazing read, and I would 100% recommend this book. Since this book deals with heavier topics looking up trigger warnings is encouraged.

The Belladonna series by Adalyn Grace is my favorite completed fantasy series of 2025. Although there are other great fantasy series that I read this year, like Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber, this is the one that held an extra special place in my heart this year.

I did start this series in December 2024 with Belladonna, and I completed the trilogy with the next two books, Foxglove and Wisteria, in January 2025. I am hoping to finish reading Holly, the holiday special this month.
